The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested more than 5600 Palestinians since US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as Israel’s undivided capital in October 2017, rights sources said.

The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) pointed out that most of the reported arrests were carried out during Al-Quds (Jerusalem) protests.

The detainees included women, children, elderly and injured persons, and people with special needs, it added.

Israeli arrests against Palestinian people will not deter us from defending our existence, head of the PPS Qadura Fares said.

Fares renewed his calls on Palestinian national factions to work on liberating Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.
