The Israeli authorities have ordered the demolition of an apartment in Yatta town, south of al-Khalil, where the family of a Palestinian prisoner in Israeli jails live.

Israel's TV channel Ten reported on Sunday that the order was issued after an Israeli court had rejected a petition filed by the family of the Palestinian prisoner Khalil Jabarin against the demolition.

Khalil Jabarin, 17, is accused of stabbing an Israeli soldier to death near Gush Etzion settlement, south of Bethlehem, in September 2018.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a few days ago issued orders to demolish the homes of Palestinian attackers within the first 48 hours following the attacks in response to the latest escalation of Palestinian resistance operations in the West Bank.

The orders were first brought to action on Saturday when the Israeli occupation forces blew up the four-storey family house of the Palestinian prisoner Islam Abu Hmeid who allegedly killed an Israeli soldier by throwing a stone on him during an Israeli military operation into al-Am'ari refugee camp in Ramallah in May 2018.
