Hordes of Israeli settlers on Wednesday morning broke into al-Aqsa Mosque via al-Maghareba Gate.

Local sources said that dozens of settlers, escorted by the Israeli police, stormed al-Aqsa Mosque in the early morning hours, while a second group of settlers is expected to come for another round following noon prayer.

Israeli police forces accompanied the settlers during the break-in until they left the site through al-Silsila Gate.
