The Israeli occupation army has raised its security measures along the border with the Gaza Strip for fear of attacks on Israeli targets in response to the killing of four Palestinian protesters by Israeli gunfire last Friday.

According to the Hebrew website Walla, the army took several precautionary measures, including restrictions on the movement of Israelis on roads near the border with Gaza.

This came after the major Palestinian resistance factions convened a meeting on Saturday and discussed the possibility of responding to Israel’s deadly attacks on Palestinian protesters during March of Return rallies in eastern border areas of Gaza.

The joint operations room of the resistance factions said in a statement that the resistance would have a clear position on Sunday towards the Israeli occupation’s arrogance and its crimes against Gaza protesters.
