The Israeli occupation army and groups of Israeli settlers on Sunday attacked Palestinian citizens in the northern Jordan Valley.

Activist Aref Daraghmeh said that the Israeli army carried out military drills on Palestinian farmlands in Khirbet Ibziq.

Daraghmeh said in press statements that the Israeli army forced the Palestinian citizens out of their homes and lands in Khirbet Ibziq in a blatant violation of the international humanitarian law.

He added that groups of Israeli settlers chased and assaulted Palestinian shepherds in Ain al-Hilweh and al-Farisiyya areas in the northern Jordan Valley.

According to the Palestinian activist, the Israeli occupation forces arrested Ali Awad in Ain al-Hilweh and transferred him to a nearby military post before he was released hours later.

Daraghmeh called on human rights organizations to assume their responsibilities toward the Palestinians in the Jordan Valley and protect them against Israeli attacks.
