15 children among protesters injured by Israeli gunfire in Gaza

Dozens of Palestinian citizens were injured on Friday when the Israeli occupation army heavily opened fire at the peaceful protesters taking part in the Great March of Return in the Gaza Strip.

Spokesman for the Ministry of Health Ashraf al-Qedra said that 60 Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire, including 15 children, a paramedic, and a journalist.

The PIC reporter said that dozens of protesters suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling tear gas.

Hundreds of Palestinians demonstrated along the borderline between the Gaza Strip and the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories on the 56th Friday of the Great March of Return.

The Gaza Strip Palestinians launched the Great March of Return on 30 March 2018 to demand the return of refugees and call for ending the 13-year-long blockade on the enclave.

The Israeli army, since the start of the border protests, has killed 284 Palestinians and injured over 32,000 others.
