Yassin Hammoud, Director General of Al-Quds International Foundation, met Dato Mukhriz bin Mahathir Muhammad, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Quds Foundation Malaysia and the Chief Minister of the Malaysian State of Kedah with the presence of Dr. Sharif Abu Shammala, CEO of the foundation in the occasion of the Kuala Lumpur International Summit, which aimed at uniting the efforts of the Islamic countries towards renaissance, development, and joint action in several areas.
The session presented the latest developments in Al-Quds city and the blessed Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa and the various possible ways of cooperation and partnership between the two institutions. It also discussed how to strengthen those relations for the interest of the Palestinian cause, support the steadfastness of Jerusalemites, and preserve Islamic sanctities, especially Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa in the light of the conspiracies and constant attacks of the “Israeli” occupation and its herds of settlers.
In his turn, Dato Mukhriz affirmed his country and institution’s commitment to support the issue of Al-Quds, and to continue exerting efforts to defend it by encouraging the Malaysian people to support their brothers in Palestine in general and in Al-Quds city particularly. Thus, this represents religious and humanitarian duty that Malaysia cannot deviate from.
Mr. Hammoud also made an official invitation to Dato Mukhriz to attend the conference of the Board of Trustees related to Al-Quds International Foundation, which will be held in the first half of 2020 in the Lebanese capital, Beirut. Dato Mukhriz showed his gratitude and appreciation for this generous invitation and his eagerness to attend it and actively participate in it.
