The Israeli occupation police on Tuesday night forcibly removed Muslim worshipers on retreat inside the Aqsa Mosque and arrested some of them.

According to local sources, Israeli police forces stormed the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards following the Isha and Tarawih prayers and forced worshipers on retreat inside al-Qibli prayer building to leave at gunpoint.

“Immediately after they stormed al-Qibli Mosque, the occupation police forced women at gunpoint to leave the Mosque and then woke up elderlies and made them leave before they evacuated the entire Mosque from all worshipers following the night prayers,” an eyewitness said.

Later, the police forces withdrew from the Mosque’s courtyards after arresting four West Bank young men who were on retreat on the holy site.
